In September 2020, Zhuji Haichuan Machinery Casting Co., Ltd. received support from Hangzhou Aisikai Technology Co., Ltd. and established a demonstration center for the practical industrial production application of 3DP sand mold printing technology in Haichuan Company. The practical application of 3D printing technology (3D layered printing technology) in the field of material forming mainly involves designing 3D digital solid casting designs - inputting 3D printers - achieving mold free solid sand mold production through layer by layer inkjet, and then achieving casting production through traditional pouring molding. Compared to the traditional production process of open mold casting, it has the following advantages:
1. Because there is no need for traditional mold production, the development and production cycle of sample castings is shortened (sample development, from traditional 45 to 60 days to 5 to 15 days), and the mold development cost in the sample design stage is saved for customers;
2. It provides a perfect solution for the production of castings that cannot be integrally formed by traditional models, castings with complex curved surfaces, and castings with complex internal flow channels. Simultaneously helping customers optimize product structure design, providing infinite imagination space for metal component design engineers;
3. For the production of various varieties and small batches of castings, it saves model development and management costs, and also provides an effective solution for short-term rapid production of maintenance parts.
