In September 2020, Zhuji Haichuan Machinery Casting Co., Ltd. was supported by Hangzhou Aiskai Technology Co., Ltd. to establish a demonstration center for the practical industrial production and application of 3DP sand printing technology in Haichuan Company. The practical application of 3D printing technology (3D lamination printing technology) in the field of material molding is mainly through the design of 3D digital solid casting design, input to 3D printer, through layer-by-layer inkjet to achieve moldless solid sand mold production, and then through traditional pouring molding, to achieve the production of castings. Compared with the traditional production process of open mold casting, it has the following advantages:
1. Because there is no need for traditional mold making, the development and production cycle of sample castings is shortened (sample development is shortened from the traditional 45-60 days to 5-15 days), and the mold development cost in the sample design stage is saved for customers;
2. It provides a perfect solution for the production of castings that cannot be integrally formed by traditional models, castings with complex curved surfaces, and castings with complex internal runners. At the same time, it helps customers optimize the design of product structure, and provides unlimited imagination space for metal parts design engineers;
3. For the production of various varieties of extra-small batch castings, it saves the cost of model development and management, and also provides an effective solution for the short-term rapid production of maintenance parts.
